Ollie Holmes and Martin Peacock, also known as BAR9, were a dubstep duo based in England, UK.
BAR9 began releasing music in early 2008, with early works such as Midnight and Malicious Tactics capturing the attention of the emerging dubstep community. 2010 saw the duo release Piano Tune as an AB single with Motion, which became two of the most seminal dubstep tracks from the underground scene in the 2010s.
2013 saw them sign to Never Say Die Records, first releasing 1983 on Never Say Die Vol. 2 in association with UKF. Afterwards, the duo went on to release two Never Say Die EPs (The Lost Dubs and Brave New World), and two Never Say Die: Black Label EPs (Blender and Silicon).
Since Never Say Die, BAR9 collaborated on singles with PhaseOne (Why They Need Us - Firepower Records) and Myro (Take Me Up - Disciple Recordings) and produced a number of remixes for both Never Say Die and Disciple Recordings, before ultimately going silent after 2018.
